Look ahead Housing & Care

Look Ahead has been established for over 30 years and operates in London and the South East providing vulnerable people with accommodation plus the care and support services they need to live independent lives.
The services Look Ahead provide include temporary hostel accommodation for single people and families; supported housing for people with mental ill-health or learning difficulties; accommodation for single young people including those coming out of care; and specialist outreach and floating support services including their specialist Tenancy Sustainment Team, Intensive Community Support Scheme and Crisis Support Service.
Look Ahead offer specialist and professional services working with many vulnerable and isolated people. These include:
- People who are sleeping rough
- Young homeless people and care leavers
- People who experience difficulties because of mental ill-health or learning difficulties
- People who have substance misuse issues
- Women or families escaping domestic violence
- People who have a history of offending
- Teenage parents and their children
- Families who have become homeless
Our working relationship
Recruitment
Central has worked with Look Ahead for over eight years and we have been a preferred provider for seven years. We provide Look Ahead with all categories of operational and support staff including senior contract managers and contract managers, specialist substance misuse workers, floating support workers and general support workers. Our provision includes covering one-off shifts, short-term contracts and permanent staff recruitment.
Training
Central Training has provided a number of in-house courses to Look Ahead including the Common Induction Standards, Health and Safety and Health and Fire Safety. Look Ahead staff also access our public training programme.
