Centre 404

Centre 404 is a charity offering support to, and a voice and access to services for, people with a learning disability and their families in north London Ė and has done so for over 60 years.

We support Centre 404 through provision of eLearning, open course places on a range of mandatory training and in-house training in sector-specific skills such as Challenging Behaviour, Keyworking and Welfare Benefits.

Certitude

Certitude was formed in April 2010 following the merger of Southside Partnership and Support for Living. Over 650 staff support over 1,700 with learning disability or mental health support needs across London and neighbouring counties.

As part of Certitudeís annual learning and development programme, we run mandatory training, sector-specific courses in mental health and management development.

Community Options

Community Options is a mental health charity in London and the South East whose mission is to enable people with mental health needs to work towards recovery and lead valued lives in their community. In 2012 they supported 700 individuals across 23 service user groups, providing 32,000 hours of community support and led over 23 recovery training events.

We provide in-house training in Boundaries & Good Practice and Personality Disorders, while individuals have accessed courses including Motivational Interviewing, Risk Management, Substance Misuse and Suicide & Self-Harm.

London Borough of Islington

Islington Council provides services and support to meet a wide range of needs in keeping with its status as the most densely populated borough in England and Wales, with strong ethnic diversity and social challenges.

Central eLearning provide a custom suite of Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards online courses accessed by Islington and made available to its contracted service providers. On recommendation, we also provide Safeguarding Adults to London Borough of Hackney.

Look Ahead Care & Support

Look Ahead, in partnership with local authorities and health trusts, provide specialist care and support services to people with a variety of needs across London and the South East.

Central Training ran and hosted 98 in-house training days for Look Ahead in 2012 spanning 16 separate course titles, with an additional 92 room hire dates for other courses on their programme. Through our sourcing of external candidates for their courses, Look Ahead received a rebate of £725 in this period.

Metropolitan

Metropolitan provides integrated housing services, care and support and community regeneration, with a portfolio of over 36,000 and over 80,000 customers across London, the East of England and the East Midlands.

Since 2009, Central Training has supported Metropolitanís mandatory training needs across its Eastern, London and Midlands regions with additional service-specific training in Dementia Awareness.

One Housing Group

One Housing Group are a non-profit organisation whose commercial success as a housing developer enables their provision of high quality, affordable homes to meet the needs of local people. Their care and support arm, One Support, is Londonís largest provider of support housing and services to people with complex needs.

Central Trainingís long-standing relationship with One Housing Group has yielded innovative and ambitious collaborations such as a graduate trainee programme aimed at college-leavers and designed to complement group induction and on-the-job training, plus an integrated workforce development and competency programme for a diverse staff group of over 800.

Richmond Fellowship

Richmond Fellowship have over 120 services in England for people with mental health problems, with service types including: supported housing, care homes, community-based services and employment services.

Central Training were commissioned to develop a custom Medication Awareness online course for Richmond Fellowship. The course is mapped to the QCF Level 3 to support learners working towards the Diploma in Social Care.

Staffordshire & West Midlands Probation Trust

Staffordshire & West Midlands Probation Trust is the second-largest Probation Trust in England and Wales, employing nearly 2,000 staff and managing nearly 15,000 offenders in the community.

Central Training support the trust in their role rehabilitate offenders and uphold the interests of victims of crime by providing specialist mental health training for frontline probation officers, as well as custom interventions for all staff in Stress Management and Dyslexia Awareness.

Worcestershire County Council

Worcestershire County Council provides training courses to Health and Social Care staff working both for the Council and partner organisations and those organisations from the Voluntary, Independent and Private sectors who have a contract with the local authority.

Central Training is approved through competitive tender to deliver 33 courses over a three-year framework agreement. Courses delivered to date include Diabetes Awareness, Falls Prevention in Older People, Emergency First Aid, Loss & Bereavement, and Mental Capacity Act.
