The Supported Housing Directorate supports vulnerable adults to live in the community and integrate into society. They specialise in a number of support services: learning disabilities, mental health, young people leaving care, former rough sleepers, drug and alcohol misuse, and acquired brain injuries.

Look Ahead

Look Ahead has been established for over 30 years and operates in London and the South East providing vulnerable people with accommodation plus the care and support services they need to live independent lives.

The services Look Ahead provide include temporary hostel accommodation for single people and families; supported housing for people with mental ill-health or learning difficulties; accommodation for single young people including those coming out of care; and specialist outreach and floating support services including their specialist Tenancy Sustainment Team, Intensive Community Support Scheme and Crisis Support Service.

SHP

SHP provides innovative accommodation and support services to 3.000 of London's most vulnerable people. Their services focus on:

The Camden society are a London-wide organisation providing a range of modern services that emphasise the human rights of people with disabilities. Founded 40 years ago, they continue to run and develop services to support people to live, work, relax and socialise in the ways that they choose.

Social Businesses

The Camden society have a rich history of developing social businesses to create the interesting jobs that people with disabilities tell them they want. Using pioneering approaches, they've been building successful enterprises since 1985, when their first café, Applejacks, opened in Camden.

Today, they run ten enterprises across London and have plans to develop more in the future. All profits from their businesses are reinvested into the business to create further opportunities for local people with disabilities.

The Camden Society's Services

The Camden Society provide a range of creative and innovative services for people with disabilities including:

City Living Services

City Living services support people to live in their own or family home. The Camden Society run City Living Services across 12 properties, supporting people with learning and physical disabilities, people with mental health needs and other people who are vulnerable and need additional support.

Short breaks

The Camden Society offer different choices for people with disabilities to get away and enjoy short breaks.

Employment and learning services

The Camden Society's Employment and Learning Centre in Kentish Town connects all their work and training programmes across London. With accessible, multi-media facilities and experienced trainers and advisors, they have the specialist programmes to support people get skilled, qualified and into work.

Community and leisure services

The Camden Society run vibrant, active and healthy leisure projects that cover the full week, with many activities during the evenings and weekends.

Direct payments service

The Camden Society's direct payments service is a different way of paying for the support people need. Instead of receiving services, people can arrange to get the cash to pay for the support of their choice instead, thereby having more flexibility, more control, more choice and more say.
