Project Assistant

Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Support Assistant to work in the Rochdale area. The service provides supported accommodation for adults aged 18+ affected by homelessness, including those with low to medium mental health needs and/or an offending history.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis covering early and late shifts. Temporary cover is required until 31st October 2026. The pay rate is £13.17 per hour, with £1.59 holiday pay, totalling £14.76 per hour.

In this position, you will be expected to;

- Support the day-to-day running of the service.
- Assist with the delivery of personalised support and move-on plans.
- Provide day-to-day support with tenancy and housing-related matters.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records and case notes.
- Support the referral and onboarding process for new customers.
- Carry out a range of administrative and operational tasks.
- Respond to telephone, reception, and general enquiries.
- Promote customer independence by signposting to relevant services and community resources.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management procedures to ensure customer wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and partner agencies to deliver a high-quality support service.

- Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups or individuals with complex needs.
- Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people.
- Experience of being able to organise tasks and plan accordingly whilst dealing with people.
- Be a team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible and have a resilient, can-do attitude.
- Able to use initiative and have confidence to make decisions.
- Basic administrative and IT skills maintain records.
